The Main Title for Star Trek: Picard is a deep exploration through the titular character’s subconscious and identity, from his family’s vineyard through his assimilation into the Borg and the disaster on Mars that threw his life into disarray. The sky cracks open and a shard of glass falls down, traveling with us through these elements of Picard’s life as well as scenes of birth by design; one geometric cell becomes two twin molecules, which multiply into a helix which continues weaving itself to form an iris with a mechanical intelligence underneath it.
