The opening montage title sequence for Errol Morris’ film about Joanna Harcourt-Smith and her relationship with the high priest of LSD Timothy Leary in the early 70s. The design, color and typography are a nod to 70s psychedelic ephemera, in particular alternative press and fringe occult publications. The animation is an abstract interpretation of the psychedelic experience.
