ESPN Rebrand
Category Description

A system of motion graphic elements intended to brand an entire television or streaming channel

Project Description

Buenos Aires based design agency Superestudio worked with sports giant ESPN to rebrand their International channels across key markets of Latin America, Africa South East Asia and Oceania.

The new cross-platform design needed to reflect the sports’ brands heritage of “serving the sports fan” and their full spectrum of sporting content in the different territories.

A key shift in this new design was creating a system and attitude that would appeal to younger viewers. The branding package got loud with an expanded custom font, motion theory to mimic sports in animation and a grid layout that reflected the 7° angle in the iconic logo.
